    Great job guys!

    Your teaching segments that are meant to demonstrate techniques are useless and impossible to see clearly and are not explained enough to be useful. I learned nothing from your slicing demo. and likewise from your razor cutting demo + the hair on the guy with the razor cut looked awful (he looked great, his hair did not)

    I agree with Glenn Derman who responded 32 minutes ago.. It was hard to learn anything from the slicing and razor cutting demo.

    I found the demos useful. I liked the slide cut curl demo with brief emphasis on texturizing.(If you knew how to cut like like that, you would be able to take the suggestions and adapt them;
    it may be vague for a beginner.) The stylist with the men's cut could have structured her breakdown more concisely, but she did relay her sectioning pattern and styling approach. I didn't get the thing about the powder, that was just weird.

    Would have liked to see EXACTLY how the bouncy curls were developed and with what products. Am assuming a cup diffuser plus lots of curl boosting product and finger free-styling to fine tune. Perhaps you could add captions that would indicate what went on if not included in the video footage. Slide cutting useful but CAN tear up the hair if scissor not SUPER SHARP and hair not wet with product. Careful! N. Maloney

    Hi there,
    If you read the current issue of Modern Salon (Sept), you will see EXACTLY how the bouncy curls were formed!

    I agree, what was that with the powder. I watched this with 2 of my cosmetologist friends and they had no idea what that product was.

    Totally disagree. I learned a lot from the short demo and it has inspired me to learn more.

    I find it a little strange that professional stylists expect to learn an entire art by watching a 30 second clip. Personally, I believe Modern Salon TV gives me inside access to an overview of industry happenings. The people here who expect to learn a new innovative technique in a short TV show segment should know better. As a recent grad I am inspired to go to Ouidad’s website and learn more about her videos. I love this TV show for keeping me in the loop and I HAVE learned a ton.

    Hi my name is Tria Palmer I just watch the MSTV for the first time !!!!! Keep up the good work !! But how did you get the curly on the next months issue????

  • Sheila Rae

    It provides flexible texture to the hair without it being greasy. Many companies carry this product.
